Triple Point Carbides for Unrivaled Control
Get in control with our innovative triple carbide design
Triple Point Carbides are the longest lasting snowmobile carbide on the market for one simple reason… they put more carbide on the bar. They feature three rows of carbides offset at a 30° angle to always keeps carbide on the ground, giving you unrivaled control over your snowmobile, whether you’re going straight or turning.
Triple Point Carbides utilize a single round 1/2″ host bar with hardsurfacing for strength and function. Each row of carbide features a single piece of carbide (unlike some of our competitors), minimizing the chance of breaking or falling out. The triple carbide design keeps all three carbides as close to the center of the ski as possible, which avoids the deficiencies often found in wider platforms.
Triple Point Carbide Benefits
- More carbide than standard wear bars
- Greater control and handling in turns
- Outlasts standard wear rods
- Self sharpening design
- Includes Ski Savers
What Triple Point Carbides Mean for You
More Carbide = Better Control
More carbide on the bar means more carbide on the ground! More carbide on the ground means better control!
When our carbides are new, the center carbide bears most of the load when going straight. When you turn the handlebars bite is increased because the tilt of the skis puts pressure on the center carbide edge and the inside carbide edge of the outside skis. This doubles the bite, putting twice as much carbide on the ground, giving you better control.
Triple Point Carbides are available in two sizes… 6” and 8”. The 6″ version provides 18″ of turning carbides per bar, with a total of 36″ per pair. The 8″ version provides 24″ of turning carbide per bar, with a total of 48″ per pair. Triple carbides means more carbide on the bar, and more carbide on the ground.
Never Sharpen Carbides Again
Carbide is extremely durable, but over time it will wear down. The triple carbide design takes advantage of this wear and provides control much longer than single carbides!
Triple Point Carbides sharpen as they wear down! As the center carbide wears down the outside carbides maintain an edge to provide bite when turning. (left illustration)
Eventually the outside edges will wear even with the center carbide, creating 90 degree edges on the outside carbides. Even when the center carbide wears flat the outer carbides will maintain an edge and keep all the way down to the host bar, allowing you to turn on ice or pavement much longer.
In effect, they are self-sharpening.
Ski Savers and Shims Included
To give you even greater control we include 1/4″ Ski Savers with all our Triple Point Carbides. Ski Savers protect your keel and reduce the effort to turn the handlebars, allowing you to turn your sled quicker. You never know when a sled will come around the corner on your side of the trail.
The Unique Triple Point Design
Each row of carbide features a single piece of diamond-shaped carbide that is embedded into the 1/2″ round host bar as far as it extends out. Finally the carbide is is “surrounded” front and back by hard surfacing for additional durability. These carbides will never fall out when the host bar wears down.
Ride Safer at Any Speed
Today’s snowmobiles are larger, heavier and faster than ever. Control of your snowmobile is more important than ever. Triple Point Carbides, combined with Ski Savers and Trail Grabbers, give you the control you need at higher speeds, whether riding straight ahead or corning. Being able to turn quickly is critical to avoid other riders or trees.
Remember, trees always win!
