Ski Savers are an inexpensive, but highly effective, solution to protect your skis and reduce or eliminate darting. Ski Savers are a 1/4″ polyethylene strip that mounts between the ski and the wear rod. Since wear on steel or plastic skis is always worse next to the wear rod, Ski Savers prolong the life of the ski by protecting it from the constant pressure and pounding of the wear rod. On ski skins, Ski Savers not only protects the skins, but provide an additional edge along the full length of the wear area to improve turning ability and minimize darting.

Ski Savers are made from durable, slippery UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) polyethylene in 1/4” thickness. The added thickness of the Ski Savers provides additional darting control. The center groove in the Ski Saver ensures the wear rod depth is maintained. Multiple lengths and hole patterns are available for all OEM skis and most after market skis.
When used with Shims or Rubber Dampers from Bergstrom Skegs, darting can be completely eliminated!
Note: Ski Savers are designed to fit and function best when used with Bergstrom wear bars.
